Submit one, two or three clinical cases for evaluation by an international jury, with each case entered in a different competition category. Your participation also includes admission to the founding edition at Cinedom in Cologne.

Contestant Participation combines your competition entry with admission to the founding edition of the European Dental Awards in Cologne.

Team participation

For team entries, the included General Access pass is issued to the case leader. Each additional team member receives a dedicated discount code to purchase their own General Access pass at a reduced price.

01. Purchase your competition entry

Select one, two or three clinical case submissions according to how many cases you intend to enter.

02. Complete your contestant profile

Add the required personal and professional information. For team categories, include the team members involved in the case, with the submitter identified as case leader.

03. Select your categories and submit

Choose one category for each clinical case, ensuring that every case is entered in a different category. Upload the case presentation in English as a PDF of no more than 100 MB and complete the required declarations.

04. Review and manage your submissions

Access your cases through your EDA account and update the case information, category selection and team details until the submission deadline. No changes can be made after the deadline.

COMPETITION PROGRESSION

From clinical submission to European recognition.

Once submissions close, each eligible case enters a structured evaluation process designed to recognise clinical quality, professional judgement and treatment outcomes.

The strongest cases progress from anonymous jury assessment to the final stage at Cinedom in Cologne.

01 - Anonymous jury evaluation

Submitted cases are presented anonymously and assessed by the international EDA jury according to the official evaluation criteria for each category.

02 - Finalists selected

Following the jury assessment, the three highest-ranked cases in each category advance to the finalist stage.

03 - Finalists at Cinedom

Finalists are invited to present their clinical cases during the European Dental Awards at Cinedom in Cologne.

04 - Final decision and awards

The final stage brings together expert jury evaluation and live audience participation, culminating in the announcement of the winner in each category.

Contestant Participation is available to dental professionals who are legally entitled to practise in their country of professional activity and who meet the requirements of the selected competition category.

Entries must be submitted under the name of an individual professional. A clinic, company or other organisation may complete the purchase, but it cannot participate in its own name.

For team entries, one participant must be identified as the case leader. All named team members must meet any professional requirements applicable to the selected category.

During the submission process, the case leader will be required to confirm their right to practise and their responsibility for the clinical case and the patient information included in the submission.

A contestant may submit one, two or three clinical cases, according to the option selected at purchase.

Each case must be entered in a different competition category. The same contestant cannot submit multiple cases within the same category.

Each clinical case must be submitted:

  • in English
  • as a PDF document
  • with a maximum file size of 100 MB
  • through the dedicated submission area in the contestant’s EDA account.

The case must follow any additional requirements established for the selected category.

Cases may be submitted individually or as a team where the selected category permits team participation.

A team may include up to 10 members, including the case leader. The person submitting the case is identified as the case leader, and all team members must be added to the submission.

For team entries, the included General Access pass is issued to the case leader. Additional team members receive a dedicated discount code for purchasing their own General Access passes at a reduced price.

Cases are presented anonymously during the jury evaluation process.

Contestants are responsible for ensuring that all submitted materials respect patient confidentiality and applicable data-protection requirements. Any identifying patient information must be removed from the case presentation.

During submission, the contestant must confirm their right to practise and accept responsibility for the clinical case and the patient data included in it.

Case information, category selection and team details remain editable until the official submission deadline.

After the deadline, submissions are locked and no further changes can be made.

Do not mention a specific deadline here until it is officially confirmed. The final date can be shown dynamically or linked from the regulations.

Contestants whose cases advance to the finalist stage will receive further instructions regarding their participation at Cinedom, Cologne.

Finalists may also be asked to provide a professional photograph and promotional information for official EDA communication.
